Emir Kusturica uskoro počinje sa izgradnjom multikompleksa u Nisu koji će sadržati koncertne sale, bioskope, knjižare, galerije... Ukoliko sve ide po planu, mozemo da uživamo u njemu već sledeće godine.
Firma “Rasta internacional” poznatog reditelja Emira Kusturice zainteresovana je da u Nišu, na Keju Kola srpskih sestara, na mestu privremenog gradskog parkinga, izgradi multikompleksni kulturni centar. Zgrada na oko 3.000 kvadrata imala bi od tri do pet bioskopskih sala, koncertnu dvoranu, knjižaru, galeriju, kafe, restoran i manji hotel, a prostor bi bio zakupljen na 99 godina. Kusturica je izabrao ovo mesto kraj Nišave krajem avgusta, a prethodno je još u aprilu njegova supruga po Nišu “merkala” pogodnu lokaciju.
Kusturica je najavio da bi slične centre gradio i u Beogradu, Novom Sadu, Kragujevcu, Čačku i Valjevu.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated approximately $2 million to set up a medical center in Ethiopia. The center will help a great deal of people who need medical attention, including children who are dealing with HIV, AIDS, and tuberculosis, three major concerns in Ethiopia.
Previously, Brad and Angelina established the Maddox Chivan Children’s Center in Cambodia, and they’re naming the new center after another one of the Jolie-Pitt kids. The medical center in Ethiopia is to be named after Zahara Jolie-Pitt, who was born in the country.
Brad has already said he hopes Zahara will have an interest in the center later in life: “It is our hope when Zahara is older, she will take responsibility of the clinic and continue its mission.” Some people have voiced the opinion that it’s strange or unfair to expect that Zahara will want anything to do with the clinic just because her parents want her to. To that, I can only be confused. He didn’t say that they have opened it with the strict intention that she MUST take it over when she grows up - he said he HOPES she will want to be responsible for it. And why not? Brad and Angelina do so much to help other people, it’s certainly logical that they would hope that all of their children will grow up to also reach out to those in need. And both of them are perfect examples that their kids can be whatever they want to be, career-wise, and still have the time, energy, and desire to do charity work.

Džeki Kenedi proglašena je za najelegantniju prvu damu Sjedinjenih Američkih Država od 1960, u anketi dnevnika "Vimen's ver dejli". U listu najelegantnijih uvrštene su i potencijalne prve dame, Sindi Mekejn i Mišel Obama.Supruga republikanskog kandidata Džona Mekejna je na drugom mestu, a supruga Baraka Obame na trećem. Hilari Klinton, supruga bivšeg pedsednika Bila Klintona koja nije uspela u nameri da postane predsednički kandidat Demokratske stranke, plasirala se na deseto mesto. U istraživanju je učestvovalo 1.100 osoba, a rezultati su pokazali da 48 odsto njih smatra da je Džeki Kenedi elegantna, dok se 36 odsto se opredelilo za Sindi Mekejn, a 28 odsto za Mišel Obamu. Svega sedam odsto ispitanika glasalo je za Hilari Klinton. Nensi Regan je na toj listi na četvrtom mestu, a sledi Lora Buš, supruga aktuelnog predsednika Džordža Buša. Na šestom mestu je Pet Nikson, na sedmom Rozalin Karter, osmom Beti Ford, a na devetom Barbara Buš, majka aktuelnog američkog predsednika i supruga ranijeg predsednika Džordža Buša starijeg.

Katarina Oksenberg sa suprugom Kasperom je ponovo boravila u Beogradu, gde bi uskoro trebalo da poCne snimanje filma o knezu Pavlu Karadjordjevicu, u kojem ce igrati svoju baku Olgu, a njen suprug kneza Pavla. Katarina je dobila i srpski pasos.

Holivudska glumica i srpska princeza Catherine Oxenberg nedavno je četvrti put posetila Beograd, a najviše vremena provela je obilazeći studio u Šimanovcima, gde će uskoro početi da se priprema teren za snimanje filma o njenom dedi, knezu Pavlu
