Barack Hussein Obama II (pronounced /bəˈrɑːk hʊˈseɪn oʊˈbɑːmə/; born August 4, 1961) is the nominee of the Democratic Party for the office of President of the United States in the 2008 general election. He is the first African American to be a major political party's nominee for this office. Obama is currently the junior United States Senator from Illinois.
A graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he served as president of the Harvard Law Review, Obama worked as a community organizer and practiced as a civil rights attorney before serving in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004. He taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004. Following an unsuccessful bid for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2000, he announced his campaign for the U.S. Senate in January 2003. After a primary victory in March 2004, Obama delivered the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in July 2004. He was elected to the Senate in November 2004 with 70% of the vote.
As a member of the Democratic minority in the 109th Congress, he helped create legislation to control conventional weapons and to promote greater public accountability in the use of federal funds. He also made official trips to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. During the 110th Congress, he helped create legislation regarding lobbying and electoral fraud, climate change, nuclear terrorism, and care for returned U.S. military personnel. After announcing his presidential campaign in February 2007, Obama emphasized withdrawing American troops from Iraq, energy independence, decreasing the influence of lobbyists, and promoting universal health care as top national priorities.

During the Vietnam War, he nearly lost his life in the 1967 USS Forrestal fire. Later that year while on a bombing mission over North Vietnam, he was shot down, badly injured, and captured as a prisoner of war by the North Vietnamese. He was held from 1967 to 1973, experiencing episodes of torture and refusing an out-of-sequence early repatriation offer; his war wounds would leave him with lifelong physical limitations.
He retired from the Navy as a captain in 1981 and, moving to Arizona, entered politics. Elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1982, he served two terms, and was then elected to the U.S. Senate in 1986, winning re-election easily in 1992, 1998, and 2004. While generally adhering to conservative principles, McCain has gained a media reputation as a "maverick" for disagreeing with his party on several key issues. After being investigated and largely exonerated in a political influence scandal of the 1980s as a member of the "Keating Five", he made campaign finance reform one of his signature concerns, which eventually led to the passage of the McCain-Feingold Act in 2002. He is also known for his work towards restoring diplomatic relations with Vietnam in the 1990s, and for his belief that the war in Iraq should be fought to a successful conclusion in the 2000s. McCain has chaired the powerful Senate Commerce Committee, and has been a leader in seeking to rein in both pork barrel spending as well as Senate filibusters of judicial nominations.
McCain lost his bid for the Republican nomination in the 2000 presidential election to George W. Bush. He ran again for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008, and gained enough delegates to become the party's presumptive nominee in March 2008.

Californication star David Duchovny is currently at a rehabilitation center for sex addiction.
“I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction,” the former X-Files star’s lawyer Stanton “Larry” Stein tells People. “I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family.”
Duchovny, 48, has been married to actress Téa Leoni for over 10 years and have two children together–daughter Madelaine, 9, and son Kyd, 6.
The Californication premiere of season two is set for September 28, 2008. Duchovny plays womanizing writer Hank Moody on the Showtime series.

Menjam plasticni facebook i fancy myspace za jedan dan sa drugarima na Bulevaru Nemanjica ispred bloka C3.
Juce sam napunila 35 i nikada ne bih menjala sarene i mirne 70`s i 80`s za vas 90`s i 2000`s. A deca ne znaju, nece ni znati. Bilo je sve petsto kec i bilo je sve Live Aid. Sve je bilo meko, lako, nezno. Rastereceno. A mi smo svi bili deca, i kad nismo vise bili deca. Bili smo naivni i lepo vaspitani, iz dobrih kuca. Roditelji su nam se poznavali. Zaljubljivali smo se i strasno patili, bili smo tuzni uz Dragstor 202 i cekali satima nasu pesmu narucenu. Dobijali petice bez mnogo muka, ucili i zavrsavali. Niko nije previseo brinuo za nas. Kupovali ploce i kasete u Jugotonu i jeli u prvim mlecnim restoranima.
I bas nas je bilo briga. Bili smo glavni, a to nismo ni znali.

A surprised Brad Pitt was awarded Best Actor in Venice today, collecting the award for his performance in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. The MC said, “I guess you forgot something here years ago. Brad, this is yours.”
He was a little surprised, as he made his way up to the podium to accept his award, and after the MC congratulated him on his baby twins, Brad laughed and said, “You can run but you can’t hide. It was an honor to receive this last year and it’s an honor to receive it this year. Thank you very much.”

The MC then offered up a yellow flower for co-star and partner in crime, George Clooney. Ha!

The show premieres on Sept. 2nd on E!
At one point during the press conference, a fan asked for the 41-year-old’s autograph on his bum! He also grabbed a piece of KFC fried chicken as she signed it! (Pam has voiced her disapproval of the fast food chain.)
With regard to her show, she said, “I think it’s a lot different to be a reality show. [In] a reality show, there’s a beginning and a middle and an end and something happens. But my life is so sporadic and so crazy: none of its contrived, none of it’s made up.”

Hrvatski biznismen Goran Štrok prekjuče je na svojoj luksuznoj jahti „Luka O.“ ugostio holivudsku zvezdu Kevina Spejsija i Radeta Šerbedžiju, ali im je vožnja prisela, brod se nasukao, a nakon što su motori prokuvali, Štrok je morao da pozove tegljač koji ih je odvukao na obalu. Kako navodi internet portal dubrovnik.net, vlasnik „Jadranskih luksuznih hotela“ Goran Štrok i njegovi gosti, među kojima su bili i glumci Kevin Spejsi i Rade Šerbedžija, uživali su u krstarenju, ali u uskom tesnacu između Broca i Stona neiskusni Štrok, koji je upravljao jahtom, nasukao je brod. Nakon toga je hrvatski biznismen pokušao na silu da izvuče jahtu, pa su mu ubrzo motori prokuvali i nije imao kud nego da pozove pomoć koja ih je odšlepala do marine u Komolcu. U opštoj gunguli, Spejsi je ostao bez mobilnog telefona koji mu je ispao u more. Takođe, hrvatski mediji su juče bili okupirani i fotografijama na kojima se vidi Spejsi dok s prijateljem na terasi svoje hotelske sobe u Dubrovniku puši marihuanu. Međutim, popularni glumac baš i ne haje za kritike, a posle odmora u Dubrovniku vraća se u Ameriku, gde nastavlja sa snimanjem filma „Shrink“, u kojem glumi psihijatra koji leči - holivudske zvezde.

Kevin Michael Rudd is the 26th Prime Minister of Australia and federal leader of the centre-left Australian Labor Party (ALP). Kada Claudia, Eva i Helena urade neku kampanju onda to izgleda ovako
Madona u subotu nastupom u velškom gradu Kardifu, počela je svetsku turneju "Sticky and Sweet". Osim hitova iz svoje dugogodišnje karijere, kraljica popa će u svakom gradu na turneji garantovati dvočasovnu zabavu - sa Madonom će na bini biti 16 igrača, 12 članova pratećeg benda, a "Material girl" će se presvlačiti čak osam puta. Na turneju "idu" i swarovski kristali u vrednosti od milion funti. Svaki nastup se sastoji iz četiri dela. Prvi je "Makro" - art deko stil dvadesetih godina prošlog veka, sa "mafijašima" u glavnoj ulozi. Sledeći je "Old school" - deo nastupa u kojem je Madona u disko fazonu osamdesetih. Sledi "Ciganka" - VIP put na ostrvo Bonita, deo nastupa inspirisan rumunskom folk muzikom, a sam kraj "Rave", priča priču Dalekog istoka. Madona će na predstojećoj turneji imati 49 nastupa na kojima će izvesti hitove koje je snimila u proteklih 30 godina kao i pesme sa novog albuma "Hard Candy". Pevačica će turneju, koja će je odvesti i u Budvu, završiti 18. decembra nastupom u Sao Paulu. Madonina poslednja turneja i

Bila sam u gradu. Posle duzeg vremena i posle 22 00. Vec dugo ne volim nocne izlaske. Duvanski dim je ubica plavih ociju, tako da zima i nasi kafici prepuni mladunaca koji pale slim cigarete, pa pokusavaju da ostave u kasnim 20ima, a onda u 30 najzad kazu bye bye my poison, takvih kafica mi je preko glave. Nadisala sam se toga u Time-u,Galeriji, Piramidi, Papiju, Operi...Anyway, letnji izlasci su lepi, ali malo i naporni uz sav taj miris bureka, girosa, kokica i cevapa.
Ranijih godina, tacnije mnogih godina, kada su u trendu bile seljanke sa sisama, i neki tamo sa pistoljima, grad (zemlja) je bio prepun krajnjeg nestila i provincijalizma. Sminka je bila jaka, prejaka, sljokice su bile od kose do stopala, grudi su bile usprcene, a suknje vulgarne. Bitno je bilo reci: imam dupe imam sise, znaci Srpkinja sam. Na televiziji Grand i Bay watch, ponekad Jerry Springer Show. Kesa za pjuking odmah pored daljinskog. Cesto se upotrebljavala.
No, u subotu, videh neke druge kreacije. Haljine su sada elegantne: duge ili model `visok struk - trudnica` !? priznajemo, uticaj Jolie primetan. Sminka je blaza, kosa opet i opet ispeglana, ali dobro. Stikle visoke, previsoke. Devojke su nam iste: lepe i doterane, ali iste. Fali im ono sto smo mi imale i sto imamo. Svaka je bila drugacija, imala je svoje ime, svoje prijatelje, mesto za izalazak, svoje bivse i potencijalne buduce. Svaka je bila i ostala posebna i imala je svoju frizuru, boju kose, stil oblacenja, duzinu noktiju, visinu stikle. Karikiram, ali je potrebno. Ne znam da li je tesko shvatiti da ako tvoje tri najbolje drugarice imaju plavu kosu do ramena, peglanu sa shishkama, nije potrebno da i ti imas to isto. Nekoliko su razloga: niko te nece primetiti, ti nisi ti, ako neki decko spava sa tvojom drugaricom, nece biti siguran koja to bila, sto mozda i nije tako lose :) Ima dosta toga, ali ja sam srecna. Nekako znam da bi svaka od tih rodjenih 88- 95 izabrala pre Rihanu nego Stoju. Samo jos da pronadjete sebe i dignete pogled sa mobilnog dok sedite u kaficu. Mozda ga i ugledate, a mozda i on vas najzad vidi, zapamti, pozeli, izdvoji iz mase.

Sve je nekako postalo sexier i provokativnije...Spotovi, general looks, pogled ka kameri. Nekada je sve to bilo naivno. Procenite sami. Meni se nekako vise dopada onaj miran i naivan svet osamdesetih...Kladim se da je svaka nova B H 90210 dobila silikone od mame za 15 rodjendan. Koliko smo samo cekali da Brenda izgubi nevinost! Iz nedelje u nedelju! A ove sa naslovnice Nylon-a mi deluju, onako bas kao ticerke. Anyway...serija pocinje a Brenda se pridruzila:

It will air on the CW in the fall of 2008. This new series is currently being called 90210 removing the "Beverly Hills" from the title to distance itself from the previous incarnation.
Lori Loughlin has already been placed on contract as a regular cast member, and it is known that Jennie Garth will reprise the role of Kelly Taylor and play a guidance counselor at West Beverly. Shannen Doherty is also returning to reprise her role as Brenda Walsh. It has not been determined for how many episodes any of the returning characters will appear in at this time.

Rebecca Romijn is the latest star to be pregnant with twins. Is there something in the water in Hollywood?—Molly, Dayton, Ohio
The compounded pregnantitis, it be spreading. Brangelina, Julia Roberts and now Rebecca Romijn. Or perhaps you speak perhaps of Marcia Cross, who had her twins at age 44. No mystery on that last one. She has said she had in vitro fertilization before conceiving her girls. And some other celebumoms may have had help as well.
"There's a reasonably good chance that some of these women had twins because of in vitro fertilization," says physician Judy Albert of Reproductive Health Specialists in Pittsburgh.
Why that conclusion? Find out after the jump.
About 17 percent of young women suffer from infertility. But for ladies ages 35 to 39, cases of infertility rise to 23 percent, Albert says. And what have we here? J.Lo had her twins at age 38. Roberts was 37 when she had her first two kids. Nancy Grace had hers at 48. Romijn is 35. Only Angelina Jolie, a relative spring chicken, had hers under the age of 35. She may have a pair of arms ropier than beef jerky, but she says she's 33.

Lopez has denied in vitro procedures in conceiving Max and Emme.
British tabs have insisted Roberts underwent fertility treatments, though she has said through a flack that twins run in her family.
Per US Weekly, Jolie's twins did come via IVF.
And a "source" close to Romijn has said her twins were conceived without medical intervention
Grace has declined to say anything specific about how she got knocked up with her husband's twins at age 47.
One other thing you should know: Chances of naturally conceived twinnage do rise in women in their 30s. But only by about 2 or 3 percent, Albert says.

Anticki amfiteatar u Ohridu...Prepun. Iznad poslednjih kamenih krugova teatra, cvetne kuce Ohridjana koji zive tu, prate desavanja u amfitetru sa svog prozora, balkona onako raskomoceni, uz kafu ili hladnu lubenicu...Dole, ambasadori, ministri, poznati i nepoznati, svi koji su mogli da priuste sebi vece uz otvoreno zvezdano nebo i miris jezera.

Angelina Jolie is considering adopting another child. Angelina, who gave birth to twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline last month - was so affected by footage of the recent earthquake in China that she is contemplating giving a home to a child orphaned in the natural disaster.
A source told Britain’s Star magazine: “Angelina is devastated over the earthquake that occurred in China in May. She has been in constant touch with relief workers as part of her UN involvement, and even got her hands on photos of a few orphaned kids. “She’s made overtures offering a home to one earthquake orphan, or even two if they are siblings.”

Zašto radim nego da mogu sebi priuštiti stvari koje volim, žensko je pravdanje za trošenje novca zbog kojeg često padaju u zamke osećaja.
Trošeći novac stihijski i besmisleno retko pomišljamo na to da su emocije dobrim delom odgovorne što smo se doveli u probleme. Baš suprotno, trošenje novca povezano je sa svim vrstama emocija. Nemačka na Olimpijadi neće osvojiti najviše medalja, ali će četiri nemačke sportistkinje, koje su gole pozirale za septembarski broj nemačkog izdanja „Plejboja“, sigurno baciti u senku sve svoje koleginice u Pekingu. Nikol Rajnhart, Katarina Šolc, Petra Niman i Romi Tarangul su imale dovoljno hrabrosti da se skinu nage, a kako će se to odraziti na njihove rezultate na Olimpijskim igrama, saznaćemo uskoro. Katarina Šolc (25), članica nemačke reprezentacije u hokeju na travi, kaže da se plaši da bi poziranje za „Plejboj“ moglo da zaseni njene sportske uspehe. - Sada me zanima samo hokej, a posle ću pričati o ovim fotografijama. Uostalom, zahvaljujući hokeju dobila sam priliku da se slikam za „Plejboj“. Nemam planove da se bavim manekenstvom - rekla je Katarina Šolc i dodala: „Znate, u hokeju
